Store Notes from Almut:

FRUIT NEWS:

- The classic favourite Apple arrived today: 3lb Mac Intosh Apples are here from B.C. - $6.25/bag.

It's slightly tart, so great for baking and desserts!

- Also from B. C. are the 3lb Bartlett Pears for $6.95 bag.

VEGGIE NEWS:

- In the Squash Department you may be happy to see Sweet Dumpling, Delicata and Buttercup Squash.

- LOCAL organic Baby Bok Choy is available this week. Those tender "baby bunches" will lighten up your stir-fry - $4.20/lb.

- 5lb Potatoes from P.E.I. are available in the colour Yellow and Red. They are $7.25/bag. Ontario Potatoes still need to do a little more growing yet, but they're almost ready to go.

MEAT NEWS:

- All Pork Hams (cured or fresh) are 30% off. Call the Store if you need help finding the right size. They range from 2.9lb to 4.7lb. 

- Our next fresh "Chicken Run" will be on Sept. 25th. Please sign-up on the Chicken list if you are interested. They are $5.25/lb. The best tasting chickens you will ever have. CALL THE STORE: 519-725-4282, or order on our site.

- Fresh Turkeys for Thanksgiving? We have 14 Turkeys available. If you are interested, sign up ASAP to avoid disappointment.

Wolfgang and myself, Almut, finally caved in and are giving the "Celery juice craziness" a try. For months and months, customers have been coming into the Store and buying Celery for juicing - to a point where the North American continent was virtually sold out on Celery, unless you were willing to pay close to $10/bunch.

We were wondering which TV or health celebrity has been raving about this miracle cure?

We are drinking one 8 oz glass of pure Celery juice every morning before breakfast. We are into day 3 so far.

I can already feel the difference, but I will tell you more about it next week when we have more than a week behind us.
