Store Notes from Almut:

Produce NEWS:

- A new batch of Organic Blueberries arrived amidst the dancing snowflakes today. The quality is very good - $3.50 each or $6.00 for two.

- Want to keep it Canadian? Keep eating your Apples, as the saying goes: "An apple a day keeps the doctor away." You won't find any Berries growing in Canada these days.

- All our Apples are still from B.C. - Ambrosia, Braeburn, Fuji, Gala and Pink Lady.

Veggie NEWS:
 

- Our last of the season 2lb LOCAL Pfenning's Carrots have arrived in our Store cooler today. That is 120 bags of LOCAL 2lb bags. Once they are gone it will be USA. To move them quickly we put them on SALE for $3.00 each.

- The LOCAL season for various greenhouse products has begun. With the late February sun shining stronger, the greenhouse at Organic Oasis has come alive and we are selling their Collards, Rainbow Chard and Red Dandelion. The quality as usual is at its best.

- More Grape Tomatoes came in today. Super quality and taste. $1.95 per clam.

- Loose organic Spinach from Georgia, USA is back - $4.52/lb. They are whole baby spinach plants cut at the root. The quality and taste is very good. You get 1 full clear produce bag for approx. $2.50. I call that a deal.

We did unpack the Seed Rack, and the Cow Pots for starting the seeds have arrived as well. I will tell you all about it next week.

For now, hang in there, only a few days left in February! What a ride it's been - snow, sleet, ice pellets, freezing rain, rain and more snow.  Rinse, repeat... (planting has to wait for now)
