Here are the Store News and Specials from Almut:
FRUIT NEWS:
- Organic Anjou Pears from B.C. in 3lb bags are on sale for $4.95 each. There are about 12 Pears per bag.
- We still have LOCAL Prune Plums from Palatine Fruit available. They are in great shape and still make a "darn good" plumcake. Or eat them just as is.
- Blueberries from Mexico are on special for $4.50 each pint.
VEGGIE NEWS:
- Believe it or not, we still have very beautiful Red Leaf Lettuce and Green Leaf Lettuce (just a few) from Pfenning's Farm.
We said it already - this is the last of the LOCAL LETTUCE, alas! We already have Romaine from California in the Store.
- Looking for Broccoli??? We have limited quantity for $7.45 each available.
- WE have 2lb LOCAL Rainbow Carrots in stock now. You asked and we delivered.... voila! $3.75 per bag.

REMINDER: Fresh Chicken NEWS:
We have a final date for our fresh 'Chicken Run'. The birds were still on the smaller side and needed a bit more growing time. Since they are not raised on super high protein unhealthy diets, they need a little more time to gain weight. The dates are now:
Wednesday, Nov. 20th and Wednesday, Dec. 11th.
The price is $5.25/lb
FISHY NEWS!
We received a new fresh fish order this week. Unfortunately, our previous fish supplier for many years died very suddenly und unexpectedly. Our thoughts are with Rick's family for this tragic loss.
It took us a while to find a new supplier. We now have the following Wild-Caught Fish in stock:
- Halibut
- White Fish from Georgian Bay
- Haddock from Atlantic Canada
For Farmed Fish we have:
- Tilapia
- Certified Organic Salmon from Norway
We have no source for Georgian Bay Lake Trout yet. Also no stock left either.

If you are interested, call me. Items move so quick and take too much time to post on line. In-Store customers definitely have the edge in choosing. Here are just some of the examples we have in stock:
- Organic Guacamole 454g by Yucatan for $2.25 each.

- Hans Dairy "Dahi" Yogurt in 2% and 3.8% for $1.00 each.
