Store Notes from Almut:

Produce NEWS:

- Even though we are a big supporter of LOCAL produce and encourage our customers to follow a more seasonal diet, our hearts skipped today when produce arrived: Green Grapes from South Africa! They look perfect and taste likewise - perfect.

- Anjou Pears from B.C. in 3lb bags are available this week for $6.95/bag. Average per bag is 10 pears.

- Our Organic Blueberries from Chile are now much lower this week - $3.50 each (170g). Very tasty.

Veggie NEWS:
 

- Absolutely last call for Local Squash! Only Butternut and Spaghetti left. The imported Kabocha Squash is already at the Store.

All LOCAL Squash is now on sale for $1.00/lb. reg. $1.80/lb.

- Broccoli ($2.75) and Cauliflower ($3.75) are showing very favourable price tags this week. 

- Very nice Ontario English Cucumbers - grown in Leamington - came in today. $4.45 each.

- Celery from the USA found its way into our Store again. The bunches are crisp and crunchy. The price came down to $3.95 each. 

On the Meat side from our freezer:

- LOCAL, 100% grass-fed, organic Stewing Beef is back in stock. Fresh from the butcher to our freezer.  $ 9.95/lb.
 

- Make sure to check out our Bargain Corner! Always lots of very interesting bargains to find there.

Due to the crazy weather no new outlet products arrived this week.
February with all its glory is taking us for an icy ride today.

My kids did not complain about the free day today, and the Store closed early today at 3 pm.

We will be back with regular hours for the rest of the week.
