Store Notes from Almut:

FRUIT NEWS:

- Organic LOCAL Strawberries still going strong - $6.50 for 1lb

Strawberries in smoothies, Strawberries with whipping cream, Strawberries with Kefir or/Yogurt, Strawberries with maple syrup, and best of all: just eat them plain.

- Organic Cherries from B.C. are available. Heavenly red globes of juicy sweet delicatessen in a bag.

VEGGIE NEWS:

- Good news from the California Celery field! There is abundance again and the price is down - $3.75 per Celery stalk.

- Local Collard Greens showed up this week.

Collard Greens are a great substitution for hamburger/hot dog buns. Wrap or roll anything from the BBQ into lightly steamed Collard leaves. Or simply pour boiling water from the kettle over the leaves.

Great for a low-carb diet!

- Organic Local Snow and Snap Peas are available now.

- Cauliflower from California is back and the price came down - $4.25 each.
