Store Notes from Almut:

Produce NEWS:

- Our Organic Blueberries from Chile are still attractive this week - $3.50 each (170g). Very tasty. Buy 2 for $6.00!

- Navel Oranges are now $1.00 each. Very sweet and juicy.

Veggie NEWS:
 

- Broccoli is noteworthy for now $2.25/bunch. 

- Sugar Plum Grape Tomatoes arrived today. Super quality and taste. $2.75 per clam.

- Red Peppers are on a sweet deal this week. Depending on size $1.75 to $2.00 each.

- Beautiful Green Beans arrived this week in the midst of a snow storm. 

- Going well with the Green Beans are the LOCAL 2lb Mini Yellow Potatoes for $2.75/bag. They are golf ball size and can be baked or steamed whole. Their flesh has a buttery, creamy flavour with a firm texture.

For Chocolate Lovers

- Oooh - La - Love.... Chocosol SALE for chocolate lovers. All Chocosol Chocolate - cert. organic FAIR TRADE - on SALE for $1.00 off. Goes till next week. Just let Valenine's drag on.

On the Meat side from our freezer:

- Organic LOCAL Turkey Burgers (fully cooked) from Yorkshire Valley (reg. $10.75) are on SALE for $7.50/pkg. 4 x 100g burgers are individually packed in the box.

Even though the weather is typically winter out there, have a summery BBQ cookout in your kitchen and just pretend.... or all you weather-hardened devoted hubbies, get out there and fire up that BBQ on the deck!

FYI: Our store celebrated our very first 'snow day' in 25 years of business. We just stayed home on Tuesday - and didn't even feel too bad about it, seeing that all schools, universites and colleges were also closed yesterday.
