• LOCAL Sugar Baby and MINI RED Melons are here. A smoothie with Watermelons and Peaches, add a little Lemon/Lime Juice and you have a drink straight from heaven.

• LOCAL new Garlic is here. The best perfume in the world!, and it makes our cooler smell like heaven. Average $2.00/bulb.

• LOCAL Sweet Corn - $1.25/cob. Nice, big and so sweeeeet!

• LOCAL Cauliflower and Broccoli are available from Pfennings Farm. 

• LOCAL Eggplants are ripening all at once. Beautiful quality and the price came down too.

Seems like you can use Eggplant to make “bacon." Check it out HERE!

• LOCAL Acorn, Buttercup and Spaghetti Squash came in today. All $1.79/lb. Although I cannot see myself making a Squash soup right now, I will BBQ delicious Squash dishes for my family. Here's how: Cut in 1/2 and stuffed (mushrooms, quinoa, ground beef, etc) with the skin on, or in a vegetable tray, marinate the squash pieces (You do not need to peel Squash right now, the skin is very tender) sprinkle with Rosemary, Sage or Thyme and bake on BBQ. Before serving, sprinkle some crumbled Goat cheese on top. Voilà, you just created a quick nutritious outside patio meal. 

Enjoy those seemingly endless summer days. Now that the dry spell is over, we can savour - guilt-free - the wonderful warm summer days we have been getting.
