Store Notes from Almut:

Bulk Sale this week:

Meat Sale of the week:

Now we are starting to get very serious about our whole FRESH Chickens. For $5.00/lb you are getting Chickens that were raised on sunshine, green grass and non-GMO and organic grain. You can roast a whole chicken in the oven or cut the FRESH chicken into its various parts and freeze for later use. (You can go online, there are various You Tube videos on how to cut a chicken into pieces.) 
If you are on a budget, this is an affordable way to eat chemical-free and healthy meat that also tastes delicious. 
 

Chickens coming on Friday, June 29th. Get your name on the list if you are interested.

It is BBQ season and all our Steaks are on SALE - 15% off. 
Check out the website for all the different cuts. All our beef is 100% grass-fed and organically raised. 
 

Produce 'Picks' of the week:

• The first Nectarines of the season arrived today (that hairless peach). Grown in California and $0.75 each, and sweet and juicy.

• Still need LOCAL Rhubarb with your Strawberries? We have that right from Almut's garden. No LOCAL Strawberries yet (as of tonight). We are waiting for word from the Pfenning Farm. They have certified organic Strawberry growers that provide the LOCAL Berries to us. 

•  Both Local RED and GREEN Leaf Lettuce from Hope Farm in Aylmer are available. The Lettuce heads are beautiful, very big and so fresh. My heart always skips a beat when I see local lettuce. We take California because we need it in the winter, but when it is available locally, that is the best. And our family (even the kids) enjoy lots of salads all summer long. 

• Green Garlic Bunches (or adolescent Garlic) have arrived -  $2.75/bunch. Use them the same as Green Onions. They are also great in stir frys. Very tasty!

•  LOCAL Zucchinis, also from Aylmer, came in today. 

• Local Green and Black Kale are here. Yes, we are definitely moving into the best season of the year. 

• We still have very big and good looking Cauliflower - for only $4.50 each.

We have Bragg Vinegar in 1L glass bottles on SALE until June 23rd. $6.95 per bottle. Usually it is $8.95.

I (Almut) like to keep the BARGAIN category very much up to date from week to week with current products that have arrived.  There were no changes made in the last 2 weeks due to the unfortunate misplacement of my cell phone.
That will change next week. I have a new phone.....
