Bulk Sale this week - We are keeping the Raisin Theme for another week:

 

- Dark Chocolate-Covered Raisins reg. $12.05/lb  -  now $10.25/lb

- Milk Chocolate-Covered Raisins reg. $11.97/lb  -  now $10.17/lb

- Yogurt-Covered Raisins reg. $11.13/lb  -  now $9.46/lb

 

 

Meat Sale this week:

 

- Locally grown in an organic fashion (but not certified) Turkey Sausage, reg. $12.75/lb  -  now $10.75/lb.

These Turkeys were raised on a family farm north of Waterloo on sunshine and grass/grains.

Ingredients: Turkey, salt, pepper, potato, oatmeal, water, ascorbic acid, onion, garlic

 

 

FYI: Fresh Chickens coming soon - arriving on Friday, June 29th. Get your name on the list if you are interested.

 

 

Produce 'Picks' of the week:

​

 

• Red Grapes and Green Grapes are available. They are very sweet and taste delicious - $ 5.34/lb.

 

 

• Still need LOCAL Rhubarb with your Strawberries? We have that right from Almut's garden.

 

• Unbelievably, there still are some locally-grown Carrots from the Pfenning's Farm. This will be the last week we are offering these Carrots. Only 40lbs left. They were with us for a long time this season.
   

 

• We are offering Local Red Leaf Lettuce and Imported Red Leaf Lettuce.

  Soft and tender leaves in big heads of Lettuce. Local Green Leaf is planned for next week. And with that, the LOCAL Lettuce season has just begun....!

 

 

• Green Garlic Bunches (or adolescent Garlic) have arrived - $2.75/bunch. Use them the same as Green Onions. They are also great in stir frys. Very tasty!

 

 

• Local Green and Black Kale are here. Yes, we are definitely moving into the best season of the year. 

 

• Local Baby Bok Choy is another special treat we have not had in a while. Sold by weight $4.00/lb.

 

• We have very big and good looking Cauliflower this week - for only $4.50 each.

 

• FYI: The local Yellow Onions are almost done. We have some stock left at the Store, but in 2 weeks it will be California Onions.

 

We have a 2 week SALE on the Phoepolis Organic Olive Oil. It comes in 500ml bottles for $11.25 or 2 for $20.00. It is beautiful oil. Very smooth and on the mild side. This oil comes just in time for the Lettuce season. Making enough salad dressing ahead for the whole week (in a mason jar) is the smart thing to do and will give you a quick nutritious meal. 

 

To me, there is no meal more satisfying then a big bowl of salad (with cranberries, hempseeds, walnuts, hard-boiled egg, if we splurge a can of salmon, the list is endless).
